Great addition to Bose iPod Sound System September 2, 2010 splunker (ape caves) My daughter had this out of the box and running in two minutes. She had no trouble entering the password for the wireless LAN. The sound quality is really excellent through our new Bose iPod sound system, and we have both set up in the kitchen and they take up very little space. It is really fun to explore music by region and genre. The favorites selection is displayed with one button click, and it is easy to add/delete stations. As you power up the Myine device it automatically causes the Bose system to turn which is an extra convenience. The remote took me a little time to get use to since the buttons require more tactile pressure than the Bose remote control, but I quickly became accustomed to it. The display is bright and uncluttered, and the black color matches nicely to our Bose system. It would be useful to display the song name as a future enhancement, but this is a minor point. I highly recommend the product.
Okay for the Price August 28, 2010 Brian Jameson I like the device but when navigating the screen is rather small. Also, the backlight has only an on and off feature. It will not dim in a dark room so you must turn off the backlight in order to sleep at night. Yes it is a very bright backlight. Overall it works well for an inexpensive wireless reciever.
Myine Adaptor great for at-work listening August 24, 2010 SDunlap 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this to use at my workspace, and it has proven to be an easy and great resource. Costs so much less than a monthly satellite or cable service! And 11,000 stations to choose from - there's always something to listen to. The setup was easy. I wish the remote was larger - I'm afraid of losing it ... but otherwise it's been a wonderful purchase.
WE LOVE THIS FOR MUSIC! August 23, 2010 Terry Schoenberger 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought this on Gold Box deal $71.00 and love it. It's so easy to hook up and find your Wi-Fi, then we were searching for radio station from USA to Egypt! Most of them are commercial free but some are not of course. The sound quality is great on most but some I wouldn't listen to. We found 4-EVER FLOYD, a Pink Floyd station 24/7 along with a great classic rock station in the USA and a great jazz station from Sweden. It also has many Podcasts to check out. This unit opens up new music and podcast options and it's so easy as long as you have Wi-Fi. Love it!
A few misses in design, but overall not bad August 18, 2010 tom (Colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My parents wanted an internet radio and we tried this one and a Grace Solo. They each have their advantages, but in the end we kept the IRA and returned the Grace Solo.
Regarding the Myine IRA
Good - Easy Set up
Good sound quality
more intuitive menu system than the Grace
Better Wi-fi reception
quick response from customer service via email
Bad - Doesn't support some formats such as AAC
No way to specify a URL. Must use [...] directory
very terse documentation at best
no controls on unit - everything done by the remote
Ugly - none really
