MOSFET 50W x4 for the power hungry
Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, delivering power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. Remember: more power doesn't only mean "louder". It also means that your music will be cleaner at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit. For clean, efficient power that will rock your vehicle, you found the right CD Receiver.

4 out of 5 stars nice player for the money   March 12, 2010

I purchased this for my Honda so that I could hear my songs with the IPOD and sometimes listen to cd's. IT has worked nice for both and I am very happy with the purchase. It has been about 8 months and so far, so good.

3 out of 5 stars Pioneer DEH-2100IB   March 11, 2010

I bought this cd player back at the end of July 2009. I have been very happy with it until now. Now I am having to send it into Pioneer's service to have it fixed. The pre-amp has burnt out and has absolutely no sound, not even a hiss. There's no continuity through the speaker wires of the adapter at all. Other than it not playing at all right now, it is a good cd player when it works. Couldn't really complain for the price though.

5 out of 5 stars WORKS WITH THE 7TH GENERATION IPOD CLASSIC (160GB)   March 8, 2010
postman (chicago, il)
I really like this radio. i was looking for a radio that i can plug my ipod into and charge it at the same time. i looked everywhere for a name brand radio that can do that for the right price but everywhere i went they wanted to much for. i thought about getting it from amazon but didnt feel like waiting. i went to bb and grabbed this radio for (...) with the tax and i couldnt be happier. i havent had a radio in my car since early november. this radio works perfectly with my ipod. when i looked at it, i thought it had only a AUX port and thats it. but i asked the sales associate and he said it also comes with a cord that plugs in the back of it that can play AND charge your ipod. im used to seeing radios that had the usb in the front. i dont know if this radio will work with the nano or any other ipod but it will work with the classic. i have the 7th generation 160gb ipod and it works great with it. the plug comes with the radio of course and if you look at the pics they have here and look at the back of the radio you will see a green area where something plugs in at. that is the cord that plugs there to charge the ipod and play it. its not a usb though so it work wont with every mp3 player as i said. the plug that comes with the radio plugs at the bottom of the ipod. you can play your songs individually by album, song, artist etc. the remote has good range to and it was easy for me to install. i havent tested the radio or cd player since i have the ipod but im sure they work just as good. BUY THIS RADIO!! I HAVE THE 7TH GENERATION IPOD CLASSIC, THE 160GB, AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY FOR ME!!! there are some grips tho. first the radio is ugly looking, i dont know if the model i got is a little bit older or what but its ugly. also its kinda difficult to use and program. the buttons are small and you MUST read the manual in order to understand how to do stuff wit it. and lastly it has a green glow which is an ugly color for a radio to me. blue is better. but those are small compared to what i really like about this radio. the fact i can play AND charge my ipod.

4 out of 5 stars Works Great   February 3, 2010

A good gift, and a good buy. It was fairly easy to install, came with all of the necessary components to hook straight to an Ipod, and looks good in the Tacoma I installed it in.

This is a really good stereo for people who don't want anything super classy, but want the Ipod feature and something that compliments their vehicle.

3 out of 5 stars NOT iPhone 3G compatible   December 2, 2009

I bought this stereo with high hopes that it would integrate with the iPhone. To be fair, it does NOT advertise iPhone compatibility. However, I'm posting this review for others like me trying to assess this based on customer reviews since some products that don't advertise iPhone compatibility still are compatible. There is one review on this product in spanish (titled "Excelente") that says, "...funciona perfecto con mi iPod touch 2g y con mi iPhone 3G" which means "...functions perfectly with my iPod touch 2G and with my iPhone 3G." So I thought that it would work on my iPhone 3G. It doesn't. Either that person hasn't updated their iPhone software, or they didn't really test their iPhone.

The included iPod connector cord does connect to the iPhone BUT it only charges the iPhone. I got an error message immediately after connecting it, and it will not let me access the iPod on the phone. So you still need an auxiliary cable to play the songs on your iPhone's iPod, which I did get and it works well. I bought this stereo on sale, saving $40 on it compared to the stereo that does work with the iPhone, but if the prices were equal or I had the extra money to spend I'd skip this one and go with the iPhone compatible one.

The stereo itself plays pretty well. I like the sleek interface & it matches my Honda CR-V interior nicely. I haven't yet read the manual, which I plan to do because it's not quite as user friendly as I'd hoped. I still hit a couple more buttons than necessary trying to get to the control I want. Hopefully that will change. For people without an iPhone, I'd recommend it. For the rest of us, I wouldn't!
