you get what you pay for August 30, 2010 ant i bought this unit while it was on sale for what i believe was 50 dollars, cheapest available unit with the one feature i needed an aux port for my mp3 player. While the unit was easy to install in my old car since i already had a wiring harness this unit has been extremely unreliable.
About two months of ownership the drivers side front speaker started to go down in volume compared to passanger side about a week after this began i completely quit making any sound, thought it might be the speaker but it wasnt it was the unit so i took the rear speaker and moved it to the front connection no big deal since i drive a truck with only two speakers others might be really annoyed
At about 8months with the unit the back-lighting for the lcd went out, again no big deal since the light from the buttons would bleed in i could sort of see it and i only used it for the aux in i just kept it in that mode so again no big deal, but if you used the radio you would need the screen!
Oh and the cd player was terrible extremely sensible, again no big deal since i only needed the aux port
so unless you only plan on using the aux port on this unit i would skip it and get something from a reliable maker
Yeah, it sucks. April 4, 2010 Kenneth L. Baldwin (usa) It went about 45 minutes before getting an SD error. I haven't been able to play anything from the SD card since. I tried different SD cards... no luck. This unit is a waste of time and money.
Rockin in my Dakota March 11, 2010 Louis Zelinske (Detroit Michigan) I bought this in Detroit Michigan from a place that installs them free. It cost me 79 dollars for the unit. I had to buy a dash kit but i would of had to with any I bought so for 30 dollars more I got the radio, dash kit and installation. I highly recommend the pros to do this, because everything works great. I pod, cd, USB, and the memory card reader. Oh and I forgot HD Radio Rocks in Detroit area. Every station I put it on had HD radio (AWSOME). They also installed my Ipod cable in the glove compartment so that it would not be noticable when not in use, another great job. This was done by Car Tunes. They also walked me through how to use all the features and how to work everything. For the money and yes a wireless remote, how can you go wrong with that. Oh and If anything goes wrong with it for Three years they will replace it Free of charge. So if you don't know what you are doing or you might know but have never done one before, let the professionals do it that what they get paid to do, and have done them so many times they can install them with there eyes closed.
About as expected January 23, 2010 Gerald (Cleveland, OH) Not the most powerful receiver but the sound was better than expected. Had some issues initially but once I used the reset button, it worked fine. I use it in my spare vehicle and for the price, I'm pretty happy with it. I haven't used all the features but it does play the mp3 just fine. The HD feature is a little annoying as it goes in and out of HD. Plus, on some stations it keeps looping back a couple of seconds. Never had this happen with any other radios. For a spare vehicle and occasional use, I like it.
Almost Perfect October 21, 2009 Luis Perez (Texas, USA) Great Cd player, with tons of features. The only down side is that my iPod just didn't quite work with it, but otherwise it is perfect. Great buy.
