Brilliant January 5, 2009 Mr. James A. Dickson I didn't buy this off Amazon but had to write a review of the product anyway. Got this for my birthday after recently purchasing an iPod Touch 8GB (2nd Gen) and could not be happier with it! The build quality is excellent on the dock and the remote. Easy to use, I unwrappped it, plugged it into the mains, plugged in the iPod and I was off! Use it in my smallish bedroom and it's more than enough, the stereo XL widening is especially impressive! I would definitley recommend this product!!
Love it! - no problems with new (2G) iPod Touch. December 30, 2008 M. Hall (UK) I just bought this today, and I was worried that it wouldn't charge my 2nd Generation iPod Touch, but good news! - it does, and as well as that, it charges both the iPod and the internal battery at the same time - when plugged into the mains, it charges nothing whilst running on batteries (to be expected - this is the case with all iPod docks as far as I am aware.) There wasn't a dock connector for the new iPod models, and in fact the sticker on the front suggest it is compatible with the iPod Video and 2G Nano - so that shows how old the stock was! So, alas the white included adapter had to be used, but to be honest it doesn't really detract from the appearance, in fact I think it makes it look better, as the speaker drivers have a silver trim around them and there is a band of silver across the top of the unit. One thing to note - whilst the iPod is docked and you are using the mains Power - the backlight on my Touch stays on all the time - I'll let you decide whether that is a bad/good thing for you personally, but on my old Nano, the backlight used to turn off after a minute or so. Fingers crossed I haven't got a faulty unit, it seems to be charging fine now anyway, I shall update this review when I have more experience with the battery and how long it lasts. Anyway, sound quality is top notch and volume is acceptable for speakers this size, as others have mentioned, these aren't quite up to Bose standard, but neither do they cost more than 250! Regarding the remote, complaints are it doesn't work from afar, so simple solution at least for me, is to use my Sony 'learning' remote, which means I can point the two remotes together, register each button and that will then emulate my original Logitech remote - simple as. Silver case looks great and has a Logitech logo on top, it can hold the dock, mains lead and 2 adapters, remote and a Nano. All in all, great speakers and worth every penny I paid. Happy? Indeed.
Logitech v2 ipod speakers December 17, 2008 Brian Sigsworth (Worcestershire UK) Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere v2 Black for iPod and iPhone Well, second time around, eventually got one that works, and I mean, works..... fabulous sound, excellent package with super remote and excellent power supply. Well made, lovely finish. My brother in law has the Bose and it is very very good, but...... BUT is it worth nearly 200 more??? Emphatically NO NO NO ..... the Logitech is more portable, rechargeable and the 'WIDE' sound is wonderful. Well done Logitech, apart from initial problems, they are now sorted with V2 and I tell all my mates to buy it ....and once they have listened to mine, they DO !!!
Good speaker November 8, 2008 Tommo (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Small & goodlooking ipod speaker system. Protective case is fine but it is soft. Great sound with sufficient volume for any room. Very handy little remote that lets you use the ipod menus. It's showing at two prices on Amazon so make sure you get it for 84 not 117.99! You charge the internal battery from a mains socket and then it's portable for 10 hrs.
Great sound, portable and a remote. September 22, 2008 Mr. D. W. Holbrook (Brisbane) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
You could do what I did before getting these portable speakers and read all the reviews of similar products online at sites such as the iLounge dot com. But - why bother. Trust me, these are truly amazing speakers for the size and they are well made with a good bag and remote and a realistic battery life. If you want more household 'static' but still compact speakers, the logitech Audiostation is excellent, but now I think is superseded by the Pure-fi elite range? I have the Audiostation but apparently the new elite range is even better - Wow!
