Product Description The IOMAX Cassette Adapter is designed for anyone who has a cassette player in their car who wants to play something other than cassette tapes. It includes all the bits and pieces you need to link your iPod, CD Player, MP3 Player or Mini Disc to your car stereo.
You get a connection that's shaped just like a cassette tape that actually goes into the player. You get a lead with a 3.5mm jack that connects to the headphone or line out socket on your iPod, MP3, CD or Mini Disc player.

Rubbish March 2, 2010 Mark For the first 3 or 4 days only worked through one speaker then stopped working altogether. Useless.
Cheap for a reason February 24, 2010 Mr. Kieran Simpson (Uk) Awful sound quality. Had to turn the volume up to full on both the ipod and the cassette player. The sound quality is full of static noise and no bass whatsoever.
I used to own one by a company called Swordfish, who appear to have gone out of buisness, but they produced a fantastic ipod adapter. Much better than this one.
Cheap but not cheerful February 23, 2010 Marcus Lazrus (London, UK) Bought to hook up an iPhone to a BMW cassette player. Works in theory, but sound is not great. You can hear the mechanism whirring and a 'bad earth' hum constantly in the background, so I would suggest a more refined (expensive?) model if you can find one. Rubbish.
Does the job February 17, 2010 redkatiebee (Manchester, England) Need to be a bit careful when you extend the cord, otherwise it won't return to the spoool particularly well and you risk snagging the cable. However, it's certainly neater than not having the retracting facility and the sound is OK - I use it with my ipod. Good value for money.
No complaints February 14, 2010 J. West (UK) For such a low priced product this gadget does exactly what you expect from it. If you are unfortunate enough to still own a car with a cassette player then do yourself a favour and buy this. The hours of driving pleasure you will get from using this with your ipod/mp3 player/phone etc more than justifies the small price tag. The retractable thingy I would say, is more a matter of preference, I have owned both types (with and without retractable) and would be equally happy with either.
